The success of the 5th “Cosmopolis” International Festival exceeded all hopes. More than 65.000 people visited Cosmopolis, attended its festivities, tasted its flavors and united into its great hug that can hold ALL OF US!!!

The countries that joined the festival were:
Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy, Mexico, Nigeria, Romania, Uzbekistan and Greece (represented by Metsovo)

Music Groups brightened the festival:
Radio Tarifa (Spain)
Mory Kante (Guinea)
Salsa Celtica (Scotland)
Giorgos Maggas (Greece)

Dance Groups created a celebrating atmosphere:
Kohoutek (Czech Republic)
Rioni Folk Dance Ensemble (Georgia)
Citta Dei Templi (Italy)
Grupo De Danza Folklorica Del Estado De Coahuila (Mexico)
Folklore Ensemble "Meros" & Folk Dance Group "Rayhon" (Uzbekistan)
Folk Dance Group of Metsovo (Greece)

Movies were played as well:

Various Exhibitions Took Place in the Prison of the Castle:
"Testimony: Hope on a gray background". Photographic exhibit from the Medicins du Monde - Grece with photographs by Giannis Giannakopoulos from missions of the past five years.
"Mexico through the eyes of a Greek". Photographic exhibit with photographs by Evaggelos Mamaligas.
Display of statuary by the sculptor Dimosthenis Sotiroudis.

"The seagull of the Aegean" which featured works by the artists of "Artattack".

The little friends of Cosmopolis went up to the Old Castle where:

They watched the play "Kanela and Dyosmaraki" by the "Theatre of a Shoe"
They played folk games of the participating countries.
They watched the play “Erotokritos” by the Greek Shadow Theatre Company of Christos Stanisis.
The watched the play "The prince that traveled in a paper boat" by the sound theatre "Ichomythi".
They watched the renowned play "Maskaroboz" by the theatre group "Meros" from Uzbekistan.

People got a taste of delicious meals from many countries:

Rump steak with vegetable sauce and dumplings from Czech Republic,
