16 - 20 JULY 2008, ΚAVALA, GR

This year the green color is more intense at COSMOPOLIS!  The festival is cooperating with the WWF and is supporting   the struggle towards a better environment and therefore a better world, through spectacular activities that are included in its rich program as we have known it through all those years. In this unit we are presenting two of the activities the WWF has undertaken to organize at this year’s COSMOPOLIS. The rest has already been included in the various units of the festival.

CLIMATIC CHANGE SQUARE at Mehmet Ali Square

The WWF is setting up a huge information pavilion in Mehmet Ali Square, where visitors can get information about whatever has to do with the climatic change. More specific, visitors will have the chance to get better informed about the environmental problems Kavala faces, through the info-leaflet by the WWF, to calculate their “energy print”, to play interactive games about the climatic change, to get advice on how to keep the planet alive, while parallel to all these, signatures against a possible hard coal energy plant in our area will be collected.
